EUROCAE, The European Organisation for Civil Aviation Equipment deals exclusively with aviation standardisation, for both airborne and ground systems and equipment.

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) develops the EUROCAE Technical Work Programme (TWP). The purpose of this document is to provide an overview of the ongoing technical standardization activities currently undertaken by EUROCAE together with a strategic outlook on the anticipated technical standardization activities to be potentially undertaken by EUROCAE, in order to illustrate the extent of the current and future EUROCAE work.

The public version of the latest TWP is available here.

EUROCAE Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) Initiative - 8 January 2020

It is recognised that, going forward, it will be a challenge to ensure that enough qualified and competent aviation professionals are available to operate, manage and maintain the future international air transport system. This is critical as a the current generation of aviation professionals will retire, the access to affordable training and education is often difficult and the trainings are often not comparable, and the jobs themselves are changing with the advent of new technologies.

Furthermore, aviation competes with other industry sectors for skilled professionals. The lack of awareness by young people of the types of aviation jobs is another challenge faced.

In order to support the international aviation community to address these issues, EUROCAE is launching an initiative to develop best practices recognised across the industry to support Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) programmes.

As a first step, a workshop will take place on 24 February 2020, in Frankfurt.

This workshop will bring together key experts from the aviation industry to shape the Terms of Reference of the future WG.
